Privacy Policy

Controller / operator: In Place Impact, LLC d/b/a The Pros Pros™ (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), In Place Impact LLC, #1356, 78 Folly Road Ste B9, Charleston, SC 29407.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use The Pros Pros™ Platform. It should be read with our Terms of Service. You must be 18 or older to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you agree to both this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
The Platform is designed for users in the United States and is operated from the United States.
1. Our privacy model in brief
- Only adults (18+) hold accounts. You must be of legal age to create an account. Youth never create accounts and do not log in.
- We design the Platform not to collect personal information from children. Youth participate only through partner-hosted webinars (guest-speaker model) under partner supervision.
- The moderated question box does not ask for name, email, school, or age. If a question is submitted from a signed-in device, it is associated with that adult account. Questions are deleted when the webinar ends (except safety holds), and we do not use them to identify or profile minors.
- We do not sell personal information. We do not use any student personal information (if ever received under a future school schedule) for advertising or to build unauthorized student profiles.
- Host organizations remain the primary point of contact for classroom-participant and school-setting concerns.
- Innovate to Graduate™ is offered through a separate company owned by Ms. Jenny Whittle, and schools that adopt it contract directly with that company. The Pros Pros™ only puts interested schools in touch with Ms. Whittle and does not collect or receive student data for Innovate to Graduate™ (see Section 8).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide (adults)
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), organization name/role if you register as a facilitator or Pros School contact, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older, or your date of birth where requested.
- Profile and preferences: optional bio, interests, notification settings.
- Partner application data: organization details, niche/legal standing confirmations, insurance certificate uploads and coverage amounts, attestations about child safeguarding, background screening, and supervision of minors, billing contact information.
- Google sign-in data: if you choose to sign in with Google, your name and email address, and may include your profile image, from Google.
- Program and learning activity: competition entries, course and lesson progress, pathway enrollments, and nominations.
- Financial-aid listings: financial-aid listings you create or submit.
- Reviews and messages: reviews of Pros Schools, messages sent through the school inbox, support requests, and other content you submit.
- Payment data: if you pay fees, payment card or billing details are processed by our payment provider; we receive confirmation, last four digits or similar tokens, and invoice records as needed — we do not store full card numbers on our servers if the processor so provides.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: pages viewed, the referring page, campaign parameters in links (such as utm, gclid, and fbclid), IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and timestamps.
- Identifiers: a persistent device session identifier set by our hosting and analytics provider and, when you are signed in, your user ID.
- Cookies and local storage used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, record your cookie-banner choice, record how the Platform is used, and hold a temporary age-gate timestamp (see Section 6).
2.3 Webinar question box
- Question text and the webinar it was submitted to.
- We do not request name, email, school, or age in the box.
- If a question is submitted from a signed-in device, the question is associated with that account (normally the host’s adult account; youth do not have accounts).
- Questions are deleted when the webinar ends, except items retained for a safety or legal report under our 24-hour minor-incident rule.
- We do not use questions to identify or profile minors.
2.4 Information we do not collect by design (webinars / consumer Platform)
- Child accounts, child profiles, or persistent identifiers intended to recognize a specific minor across sessions. The device session identifier and user ID described in Section 2.2 are not used to recognize or profile minors.
- Student education records for consumer webinar use.
- Direct private messages between Stars/Pros and students.
2.5 Information from partners or service providers
- Organization contacts may provide staff names and work emails for onboarding.
- Hosts confirm that an 18+ employee or legal volunteer will be present for webinars that include minors.
- Service providers (hosting, email, analytics, video) may process data as described in Section 5.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure adult accounts and provide the Platform;
- Operate webinars, moderation, and the question box;
- Run competitions, courses and lessons, pathway enrollments, nominations, and financial-aid listings, and track course and lesson progress;
- Provide Google sign-in when you choose it, and deliver messages sent through the school inbox;
- Process facilitator and Pros School applications, fees, and insurance verification;
- Display Pros School listings and host reviews;
- Send transactional messages (account, security, webinar reminders you opt into);
- Improve safety, detect abuse, and respond to minor-related incidents within 24 hours of flagging;
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms;
- Understand how the Platform is used and improve it, using the analytics described in Section 6.
We do not use personal information of minors (if any is submitted in error) for marketing, profiling for ads, or sale.
4. When we share information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers who host, send email, process payments, provide video/webinar tools, or support operations, under contracts that limit use to providing services to us;
- Partner organizations as needed to run a webinar you or your organization hosts (for example, confirming the registered adult host);
- Pros Schools you choose to contact through Platform tools after you (an adult) initiate contact — what you share with a school afterward is between you and that school;
- Professional advisors and insurers when reasonably necessary;
- Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety of a minor or other person (including, where appropriate, law enforcement or child-protection authorities), and we may notify the relevant host organization;
- A successor in a merger, financing, or sale of assets, subject to continued privacy protections.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as a business model of The Pros Pros™. We do not use student personal information for targeted advertising.
5. Third-party services
The Platform uses third-party services, including Base44 (hosting and analytics), Stripe (payments), and Google (sign-in, when you choose it). It may also use other third parties such as video hosts (e.g., YouTube or similar) and email delivery providers. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies. Review those policies before use. Company is not responsible for third parties’ independent practices.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our hosting and analytics provider, Base44, use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and record how the Platform is used. This analytics uses a persistent device session identifier and, when you are signed in, your user ID, and records pages viewed, the referring page, and campaign parameters in links (such as utm, gclid, and fbclid).
Local storage also holds a temporary age-gate timestamp for 24 hours to stop repeat attempts by someone who has indicated they are under 18.
Our cookie banner records your choice. Choosing Decline does not currently turn off this first-party analytics. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling some cookies may limit features. We do not use advertising trackers on the Platform.
7. Children’s privacy
7.1 The Pros Pros™ does not allow users under 18 to create accounts and does not knowingly collect personal information from children for account registration.
7.2 Youth may appear in a host’s classroom during a live webinar under the host’s supervision. Company does not use that presence to build child profiles.
7.3 If a child submits personal information through the question box, the question is not shown and is deleted when the webinar ends along with all other questions. If a child submits personal information otherwise, we delete it when we become aware of it. In either case, this is except where retention is needed for a safety report.
7.4 Parents or guardians who want archive or career-path access create their own adult accounts; minors do not log in.
7.5 Partner organizations make attestations about child safeguarding, screening, and supervision, and remain responsible for complying with minor-related laws and for parental notices their own policies require. Company does not receive student education records through the consumer webinar product. Requests about a student’s participation in a host’s classroom setting should go to the host organization first.
8. Innovate to Graduate™
Innovate to Graduate™ is offered through a separate company owned by Ms. Jenny Whittle. Any school that adopts Innovate to Graduate™ contracts directly with that company.
The Pros Pros™ only puts interested schools in touch with Ms. Whittle. We do not collect or receive student data for Innovate to Graduate™.
If The Pros Pros™ ever offers Innovate to Graduate™ online through its Platform, it will be handled like any other syllabus taught online by educational publishers, and we will update this Privacy Policy before that happens.
