Frequently asked questions

Who can sign up, how Pros Schools are reviewed, and how to choose one.

Who can sign up?

The Pros Pros™ accounts are for adults 18 and older — parents, guardians, teachers, counselors and mentors who lead sessions with young people. The adult signs in, starts the session, and walks through it with the young people in the room. Young people take part in the session without an account of their own.

How are Pros Schools reviewed?

Every school applies through the application and is reviewed before it appears in the directory. A school must hold accreditation from a US Dept. of Education or CHEA-recognized accreditor, a state license, or state board program approval, and we check that on the accreditor's or the state's public directory. The application has to come from an official email address on the school's own domain — personal email addresses are not accepted. The school attests that it has screened every adult who works with youth under its own policies, and it signs the Facilitator Agreement.

How do I choose a Pros School?

Browse Find a Pros School and narrow it down by school type — two-year community/technical colleges, four-year colleges and universities, trade, beauty/cosmetology, culinary and online schools — and by pathway, location, and whether the school is online, in person, or both. Each listing shows the school's type, delivery, locations and accreditation. Send your Ask a Pro question to the Pros School you choose: Pros Schools are asked to answer within 7 days, and a question that goes unanswered that long is escalated to our team.

What does it cost?

Individuals & homeschool free; facilitators $49/yr; Pros Schools $399–$2,499/yr depending on school type (see /for-schools).

Does paying affect ranking?

No. Fees never affect ordering, ranking or placement.
